Trouble with my toshiba wireless connection

Hello everyone, I am a newbie to linux and my first distro I have chosen to use is Mint 9. I absolutely love it, I have it on my desktop and that's perfect and fine, except I just bought a mini notebook and am having issues getting on line. I used the GUI to set up my wireless network and it connects however, when I open firefox it says the typical "Cannot display webpage ". I typed lspci and here are my results, in case you guys are wondering I copied the results of the " lspci " on a flash drive because I can't post it from my laptop due to lack of internet. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, I am all in on linux now, I'm a long time Windows user and don't get me wrong I'm not leaving Windows because of it's lack of functionality because I think Windows 7 is simply great, I'm making the switch because I am now an IBM'er and I'm training to work on Red hat servers and need to start getting a foundation in Linux. I purchased the book Ubuntu Linux toolbox, and so far it's a nice book. Not a beginner book and because of that I feel I made a questionable purchase, but I know enough about computers to understand it I feel. Is that a mistake or not a mistake any input on this would be very helpful because I am still eligible to return this book. 25 bucks is 25 bucks! Also what are some nice resources you guys would recommend for someone who is fresh to linux? My backround is literally an Ubuntu intro course from college. I'm thinking about finding my old projects I did in that course to jog my memory on some commands etc. Also do you guys know of any good excersises offhand?

This is beginning to turn into a ramble so I will end that here. I guess what I would like to say is HELP! and it feels good to be a part of the linux community finally ( even though I'm a noob ) . If this is posted in the wrong place you guys have my apologies in advance. Thanks guys!

    Regards,
