Installing Audacity (and other software) offline in Afghanistan
Dear all,
Currently I'm doing a media project in rural Afghanistan and I want to install Ubuntu on all computers + audacity because using Windows in the first round just was a real pain (predominantly because of viruses). Right now I'm in Kabul so I have a bit better internet connectivity so I spent 30 hours on downloading Ubuntu 10.04 via wget. Now I want to bring some extra software with me to install on the computers (Audacity, Gimp, Audacious, Farsi language for typing).
How can I download all packages needed for installing these programs WITHOUT having to download all the packages manually from packages.ubuntu.com (risking that I haven't got all dependencies quite right) or reinstalling my own PC and make a boot install image from that (there is really no time for that now, and I don't have a big backup option)
Thanks for the advice in advance!
