Intel MacBook doesn't boot USB
Hey everyone -
I am having trouble creating a bootable installation USB flash drive on Mac, for installing Ubuntu.
My DVD-CD drive is dead, so I cannot use a disk. I do not have an external CD drive. There are instructions on the ubuntu website for creating a usb drive that should be bootable.
I follow them to the letter, and the flash drive is recognized after startup, but does not boot when I hold down the ALT key.
Disk Utility reports in the "Information" dialog for the drive that the partition is not bootable. (Bootable: no)
Does anyone know how to create a USB flash drive that will boot, using only OS X?
