As of kernel 2.6.33, trim will be (as far as I understand things), an automatic process. Thus you can use a development kernel (presently and trim should keep your ssd in top order. Alternatively you can go here and here and download hdparm and washer.sh which will do the trim for you and here is a gui to help if you wish. You need hdparm 2.20 or above and wiper.sh 2.1 or above. Hope this helps a bit.I would probably go the a later dev kernel if it were me, but it is up to you. Ubuntu will have the trim function in the next release.
