    Please go to System > Prefs > Appearance > Visual Effects and select "None."

    Does that make it work?
    To err is human, to forgive is very ... dog-like.

    Yes, but no visual effects? Maybe this will help:

    gksudo gedit /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer

    Then add: "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1" before the last line of text
    (without the quotes)

    Restart browser, turn visual effects back on and try it again.

    I had to do this for any buttons to work on youtube.

    I like my visual effects.

    Re: New help configuring flashplayer

    And make sure that is entered as the second-to-last line, this is what that file looks like for me now:

    Code:
    #!/bin/sh
    TARGET_OS=linux
    TARGET_ARCH=i386
    export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1
    . /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/noarch/npviewer
    I kept miss reading "before the last line" and putting the export as the last line... Hopefully, this saves someone else some frustrations...

    Yes, that works very well. It's great to keep the visual effects and see shockwave-flash videos.
    Thank you

    Glad it helped you! Who wants to give up special effects because of flash?
    I have a nice Compiz cube going on and a lot of other things like fire, etc. which I like to show off.
    And I can watch 1080p flash in full screen too!

    I've read these instructions, but for the life of me cannot figure out what you are trying to teach me.
    Can you give me an example and give me the instructions step-by-step?
