I recently purchased the Cables To Go USB to Parallel printer adapter Model #16899, and I was not able to find any mention of it in the Ubuntu forums prior to buying it, so this post is simply to make note that this adapter worked fine for me in Ubuntu Lucid connected to an HP LaserJet 5L (I did have to reboot before it found it). Most of the newer motherboards no longer have a parallel port, so this kind of device is nice to have working.
