Serval Professional doesn't work with VGA

It works with DVI, but not with VGA it has issues and can't see an external monitor/project. Furthermore Fn+F7 to switch to monitor doesn't work. Using NVIDIA-setting program it just doesn't see it and it wants to dump the AUO/laptop monitor in doing so. Have a presentation this afternoon, help would be appreciated

The Serval's DVI port uses a version of the DVI specification that is not compatible with VGA. In general, we've had trouble with DVI to VGA adapaters, and we haven't seen one that works correctly with our machines. Direct DVI connections seem to be the only way to do it.
