Question Re: Wifi is connected but will not work in browser or other internet usage

Do you mean it's connected via ethernet, or wireless?

You may want to try opening a web browser and go somewhere. I'm assuming you already did this, so if you get no response, make sure your internet connection is active at the top right hand of the screen. You will be able to tell if wifi is on/off. If you still have problems, you could go to "networking" in the settings tab, and see if your computer is connected, and sending/receiving data.
I'm not an expert, but I hope that helped.

At this point, I guess I would suggest to go into "Hardware drivers" under Settings, and make sure there are no other wireless drivers you need install to get it to work. In my case, I had to install two different one's seperatly. Umm, other than that, maybe reconnect??

Re: Wifi is connected but will not work in browser or other internet usage

I had the correct driver installed so I uninstalled and re-installed and still nothing worked and I even reconnected three times to see if it would work and it still didn't work.

Oh, another thing i forgot to mention is that the Internet connection works on the Windows 7 boot I have. I don't know if that would help but...
