Bluetooth adapter not found in Toshiba Notebook

Hi guys,

I have searched internet and tried several solutions for my bug but it has not been solved...

My notebook is a Toshiba Satellite U305-S5107 (http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satell.../dp/B000RN1CX4) and I am not being able to use its bluetooth adapter..

I update my bios and I tried this (http://www.itwriting.com/blog/333-fi...th-ubuntu.html) but without success.

When I run the app "Bluetooth Manager" I get the following manager. "Bluez daemon is not running, blueman-manager cannot continue."

When I run the app "Bluetooth" i get the following message: No Bluetooth adapters present".

Anyone could give me a clue??

I have the latest UBUNTU 10.04 LTS installed in my notebook

I haven't quite fixed it yet, but this helped me at least enable my adapter.

I haven' t tried the fix on article iwriting but I'm afraid it might ruin my ubuntu and in the worst case scenario... Ubuntu doesn't boott!!!

I am hoping for a new lucid update.. not warthy one!

If you are running another OS, then restart your computer and open that one up (Windows whatever), then enable your bluetooth in that. After doing so, restart your computer using the Linux distro. and you should find that it then works fine, let me know how you get on...
