Rythmbox not importing converted mp3s

I used the script mentioned here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=37793 to convert some wma files to mp3 however rhythmbox will not import these. Is this to do with the way they were conveted? Is there a better way or will converting wma to mp3 always result in this? Was going to try soundconverter but I wasn't sure if this would just do the same thing.

If you drag and drop one of the mp3s into rhythmbox can you play it? IF not will it play in mplayer or vlc? Just checking if the conversion worked.

I'll check that tonight. I hadn't rhought about just trying to open the file in rhythmbox.

Hey. I finally got around to testing this and the MP3's play fine when I open them in rhythmbox.

I also tried importing a single file that had been converted and that doesn't work either.

So the mp3's are fine and the problem is they will not import? Im not sure how to solve this as I use songbird for music.

I actually use songbird myself however I'm unable to use songbird due to this issue so I have gone back to using rhythmbox for the time being.

I had a thought to try importing into songbird, which works fine. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and Rhythmbox 0.12.8

Yeahhhhhh... It turns out the tracks were already imported but I had edited the meta data so expected to see the tracks under correct names and not <unknown album>.
