Ubuntu Hours in California

Ubuntu is a world-class operating system that makes computing easy and simple. But starting out can be intimidating. Ubuntu Hour makes it easy to get started.

Your local Ubuntu Hour is a time and place where some Ubuntu users get together to chat for a bit and have some coffee or tea. They are more than happy to talk to you about what Ubuntu is, answer any questions, provide a free CD so you can try or install it, and help you get things up and running. They can also share some of the tips and tricks they've used to make their computers more convenient.

You're free to join us at any of the times below. Say hi and feel free to bring a portable computer if you have it.

Going to start this slow because I'm not sure how much time I can commit in the coming weeks, but I'll be hosting an Ubuntu Hour in San Francisco next week:

This is not too far from Thirsty Bear, where we hosted the Lucid release party. They have sandwiches, free wifi and standard coffee shop drinks.

The coffee shop isn't very big, so you shouldn't have trouble finding me - I'll be wearing an Ubuntu t-shirt and have a pink netbook with Ubuntu stickers on it

I'll be hosting an Ubuntu Hour this upcoming Wednesday (on the 2nd Wednesday of the month), December 8th at The Roastery in San Francisco.
