    Flash install in Ubuntu...

I am now on 64 bit Ubuntu and would like to install adobe flash player. Any way I can do this? I know that there was an alpha, but I am not sure if it is still around. I prefer Adobe's flash to the other alternatives given.

You should be able to download flash as a Deb file from Adobe's website.

Alternatively, I think it's included with Ubuntu Restricted Extras, which you can search for and install with the Ubuntu Software Center (formerly Add/Remove at the bottom of the Applications menu).

I understand the 64-bit version works fine these days.

The community documentation is actually pretty helpful with restricted formats like flash.

However, the play/pause button on youtube does not work and I cannot skip ahead while watching. Strange.
