    telemetry.dat

I found an empty file named telemetry.dat, I wonder which software created it there. I can't find any information about the file in google.

Did you recently install or un-install any software?

Where exactly did you find the file?

    What OS are you running?

Look here and see if anything rings a bell:

I installed vdrift from getdeb recently.
The file was in the home folder.
    I'm running ubuntu lucid lynx.

    Re: telemetry.dat

Well, there is a reference on the vdrift forum regarding the usage/storing of telemetry data:

    http://vdrift.net/Forum/viewtopic.ph...ight=telemetry

Can you open the file and if so what are the contents?

I would be tempted to suggest that this is an innocuous data file, but you should perhaps ask the question on the vdrift forum to make sure.

    Hope this helps.
