Best tool for pausing/rewinding live TV from Dish Network

I have an old Hauppauge card of some kind that I use to pull in my Dish Network stream to my PC in my office. I use mplayer or sometimes VLC to view it, but with the World Cup coming up I anticipate the need to pause Live TV or replay certain situations. What's is the best lightweight solution to accomplish this? Do I need MythTV, Xine, Freevo? Thanks. #USA #USA #USA

You might want to try my Firefox extension, FoxMediaCenter. When you start a recording with it will make the file immediately available to watch in the playlist manager. So you can watch, pause and resume, using your favorite video player.

Keep in mind this extension is still experimental.

Thanks, looks neat. I'll try it out.
