Script to disable xscreensaver momentarily ?

    Hi all,

I've made XBMC available in my mythtv-system, so its run on top of mythtv, but the xscreensaver kicks in (as it should since mythtv is "idle") and I cant make it resume by pressing the remote and operating XBMC. The screen stays in off-mode (no signal). If I reset mythtv (which exits both xbmc and mythfrontend and restarts the frontend) the video-signal is turned on again.

Heres a guy who made a script to disable the gnome-screensaver while running xbmc.

Can something similar be done with xscreensaver ?
I did a man xscreensaver-command but I couldnt find anything to do this. Have any of you made a successful "inactivation" of xscreensaver somehow ?

It would be even better if the IR-input just kept the system from going into screensaver but I have no idea why that works with MythTV and not XBMC.
