    This is a hunch: open a terminal and issue these commands:

    service network-manager stop
    rm /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state
    service network-manager start

    then try to connect.

    Re: Wireless network card disabled

    i tried the commands you supplied, but i must treport that they did not Enable the wireless card. I tried them twice;

    The first time i did it with the switch set to ON, typed in the commands, and nothing happened

    The second time i tried it i did it with the switch set to OFF, typed in the commands and nothing again.

    Re: Wireless network card disabled

    Does the file get rebuilt - or does it stay deleted?
    If you right-click Network Manager icon, does it show networking enabled?

    Re: Wireless network card disabled

    wired internet works fine, wireless is still grayed and labeled "Disabled" when right click on Network Manager icon.
    Wireless network manual switch is set to "on" position.
    Have tried rebooting with switch in both "on" and "off" position

    Re: Wireless network card disabled

    i have solved the issue by pressing "F2" at initial boot, to enter the BIOS menu. Then i pressed "F9" to reset BIOS and then "F10" to save and exit.
