    pytyle & lucid

when i set visual effects to normal/extra and activate pytyle it seems to reorganise the screen with a phantom extra window (see screenshot). i can fix this by setting visual effects to none and then back to normal/extra.

can anybody tell me how to fix this?

    thanks.

I've never used pytyle but if your interested there is a script here for
    installing experimental plugins for compiz.
A tile plugin can be installed using the script and I have had no problems using it on lucid.

thanks for the tip - i've just tried the tile plugin but i think pytyle suits me better. i like the default layout (master window on left, other windows cascaded vertically on the right) and you can use alt-c to cycle the windows around.

will keep looking for a solution...
