I have a desktop (Lenovo M9952-RZ4) and laptop (Compaq C700) running Meerkat with the new kernel. The laptop initially had a wi-fi problem, reported by others, but more recent updates (secured via a 3G dongle) have fixed that. Neither machine has experienced any problem with System Monitor.

Sytem Monitor Resources Tab and update seem OK here using 64 bit kernel on AMD64X2 using GB server.
