Like I said, I've never actually hidden my IP address. The link I provided was for information. You will notice that it suggests using a proxy server.

just fyi, torbutton is a great tool, but you have to install the underlying TOR service in order for it to work. TOR is an anonymous proxy network, where as torbutton is an firefox addon.
