    Gimp transparency issue

I'm experiencing problems with transparent png images saved with gimp recently, but only on this site. If I upload the image to my blog it looks fine, but when I add it as my avatar here, the background becomes black. If I upload an old png file is looks fine too, so I guess it must be some Gimp exporting settings that is not optimal. I have no idea which one is it. I have even deleted the gimp settings folder, but it didn't help.

    Any ideas?

Sorry. Had an idea but now I think it's invalid.

I was just thinking maybe the forum software doesn't support transparency in png files. But then I looked at mine and said to myself, "Uh... looks like transparency to me...". But I think it's an svg.

PNG is supported. The problem is that I tried to change my current avatar (which is png) and the new image gets the black background on the forum, although it is displayed with transparent background on my blog, on gimp and everywhere else.
