I don't remember precisely, but I think starting with Ubuntu 14.04, I can't get the discrete graphics card to shutdown completely. The fix I wrote about a few posts up doesn't work anymore.
I know about the new powersaving functions (radeon.runpm=0 and radeon.dpm=0) the radeon module offer, but they don't shutdown the card completely or worse, don't let the graphical login show-up at all. (The best I got was DynOFF, but the fans stay on.)
Does anybody know a fix to this?
