    MATLAB installation

I've followed the guide here for installing MATLAB. The installation completed successfully, however, the launcher created doesn't launch MATLAB as MATLAB isn't installed anywhere pointed to by $PATH. What's the best way of solving this - adding MATLAB's directory to $PATH (in which case how do I go about doing so), or (re)installing MATLAB to somewhere already in $PATH?

    Re: MATLAB installation

The easiest way would be to edit the launcher and have it point directly to the matlab executable.
    Code:
while true; do echo -n "RiceMonster "; done

    Re: MATLAB installation

Yeah, you're right. However, this would mean I would be unable to launch Matlab from the terminal if I felt so inclined and also (I'm now guessing) I'd be unable to tell Nautilus to open *.m files using Matlab. I was just asking as I thought there must have been a reason for the guide to install stuff the way it did.
