    Was the new Ubuntu website designed and developed on an Ubuntu machine with open source tools?

    If so, Canonical should mention that and even perhaps show a quick 'making of' tutorial somewhere on the site. Might help get web designers (in particular) to consider making the switch.

    I seriously doubt it. I have not yet met a serious professional graphic designer who uses solely FOSS tools.

    "It's better because it's free" is a fun mantra but has no bearing on real life.

    It's about damn time.

    My only complaint is how bad the white text looks on the orange navbar at the top of the screen. It's probably the black shadow that's ruining it.
