    Postscript fonts in OpenOffice

This is probably more for a OpenOffice forum but maybe you can help me to. I have some postscript fonts that i have to use but cant get it to work in OpenOffice..i have installed Ubuntu 10,04 and its working fine, also this Specimen Font Viewer can see that font but i need it in OpenOffice..
Is it that the font is postscript type1, or is it that the font is not unicode(its yuscii) and how to solve it if its possible?
Is there an alternative to Word processing that can use a font like that and be free?

Can you give us more details? What is the font name? What is the problem?
Check also that page perhaps: Adding TrueType or Type1 fonts to OpenOffice.org

    Re: Postscript fonts in OpenOffice

that page helped... if you use font installer in ubuntu somehow you dont see this font later in OpenOffice, but if you make an afm file then it work fine. I dont know why but some postscript fonts you just click on install and thats it, and some you have to add manually with its afm that you have to convert from pfm if you already dont have it...
