    Simple & complicated at the same time: What you post is the answer to what the next one will post. Just think of it as a intensive discussion, just the other way round. Don't forget to include quotes by the previous poster if they don't violate the forums rules of conduct.

    And that's why I think elephants shouldn't be allowed in the army.
    I don't understand what that has to do with the FIFA soccer world championship being a good way to advertise Ubuntu, while I see your point that an elephant might be associated with other OSes.
    If SUDO is all-powerful, can SUDO start a process that SUDO can't kill?

    What you do is open your terminal (Alt+Ctrl+T) and type:

    sudo etc/init.d/gdm start

    Here you go
