Auto-hiding for drawers

Hi.

Is there a way to auto-hide drawers when they loose focus? I want to make a nice small panel with drawers that works like AWN or Cairo Dock. I don't want to install additional software for something that's already at hand. I like to keep only the top-panel visible and to hide the others. But since the drawers don't automatically hide, if I open one of them, the panel doesn't hide although it's supposed to. Dunno if this is a bug or just an unfinished matter.
Another thing that I'd like to accomplish - if I click on let's say DRAWER#1 but then I decide to open DRAWER#2, DRAWER#1 should hide automatically.
