I have an Android-based HTC Desire, and to load music onto it I simply plug it in and drag-and-drop into the Music folder. the built-in music player automatically detects the files from there.

I've had it for 3 or 4 weeks now, and the only time I've needed to plug it into my computer was to charge it. Updates, app installs are all done on the phone itself over the Internet. Just make sure you're connected to wi-fi whenever possible for anything Internet-related so as not to use up your 3G data allowance.
If you can't be bothered writing coherently, I can't be bothered reading your post.

So, I bought the Droid Incredible. After 2 days of usage, I love it! Easy to sync with the computer. I installed dropbox (cloud), so that if I don't have a cord to connect it to a computer at the moment I can still get information.
