    Can't upload plugins to wordpress.com

I have a wordpress blog mapped to my godaddy.com domain.

In an effort to update my blog's SEO, I wanted to download an SEO plugin. The Wordpress dashboard has no place to upload this plugin.

So, I downloaded wordpress to my computer, did the LAMP, Apache2, mysql thing... htt://localhost/wordpress works, but it is a naked blog.

I think I lack the language for this, but here we go: "How do I map/link my website to this localhost wordpress thing, in order to upload plugins?

Do I run the risk of screwing up my site?

If you have the free Wordpress account, then you can't install plugins. If you host it on godaddy or other server then you can upload through the dashboard. Expand the plugins menu, then click "Add New". You will see an option to upĺoad at the top of the page.

I guess you are trying to upload to Wordpress.com account using your localhost server. That won't work.
