The post was made in a friendly manner. I just felt like informing people of the proper name of the distributions. I really meant no harm in that thread.

I believe all I deserved for that if forum staff didn't agree to the thread was thread closure.

Maybe I shouldn't have provided links to two example posts of it.
If so please edit that part out and reopen the thread. I really am sorry for linking to those two posts.

I believe that as per the English language this would have only been true had I posted something like this: "All users who refer to Ubuntu using the wrong name are (Insert a critical word here)."

Making a post about 10.4 or 10.04 is really splitting hairs. To be honest it borders on insulting.Our members are adults and are quite aware of that.

I agree with the staff, the post was inflammatory. I am not going to alter the infraction at this time. however if in six months there has been no further incidents I am prepared to review it again.

I assure you, there shall be no more problems, I will really think deeply before posting anyway, especially the cafe.
