Abuse in the Ubuntu wiki

While editing the article in http://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wif...Driver/Atheros, I discovered that someone operating under the name "beckt" was inserting malicious links about an essay writing service into this article. (His launchpad ID is missing.)

My first thought was to remove the links, of course, but that simply may turn out to be an invitation for further defacement that would actually eliminate useful information or replace valid links by malicious ones. I have no idea what to do about this, but I expect the problem is more widespread.

Thank you for reporting that. This is a potential issue with an "open" or community wiki.

The staff on the forums can not be of much assistance, would you please report your findings / concerns to the Wiki team ?
