Just giving this thread a bump to show it some love.
I'll admit, during the Alphas of 11.04, I was very disappointed by Unity. I've since worked with Ubuntu 11.04 and Fedora 15 and from what I can tell, Unity is more efficient (fewer clicks/movements to complete an action) in most cases compared to Gnome 3 with Gnome Shell.
Symphony looks like an amazing theme and provides a level of polish to the desktop on par with (but very different from) Apple's OS X theme (at least since I last used in @ 10.5).
I suggest to swap the brown out for an equally light hue of that funky orange to keep the theme consistent with the current Ubuntu color scheme, but other than that it rocks hard core.
I wish everyone/anyone working on this the very best (as I have no relevant skills to contribute).
