WEBCAM CREATIVE LiVECAM NO VF0470

hi i have this webcam CREATIVE LiVECAM NO VF0470. how can i use it with ubuntu? it doesn't seem to be recognized, and the driver doesn't work under wine. ( no suppport for linux from creative)
is there a way out? thanks

if its usable at all try this
open a terminal type, gstreamer-properties click enter
click video try v4l1 and v4l2
click the bottom test button for each 1

910 and up cheese webcam booth should be loaded
look in sound & video
try the cam in it

thanks for your help, jes now the webcam gets recognized by ubuntu. if i test it in gstreamer properties it works fine but in skype it is recognized in the options but it does not show the video ( the video is blank). and thatś what i would need the webcam for i have loaded cheese, it works fine in there but what is 910 and how do you get it?
maybe this constitutes the bridge to skype.

Hi guys,

I have the same problem. When I connect to windows, it detect my Creative VF0470 Web cam.

I have tried the gstreamer-properties.
As in the attached, I do not have V(4I1) and cant run test.

Please help.

try changing the plugin to not auto
