Disable Shutdown and Restart Dialog Window

Is there a way to disable the window that pops up after you hit shutdown or restart so that Ubuntu restarts and shutdowns after one click?

A nice explanation (both using GUI and command line) can be found in http://reformedmusings.wordpress.com...u-9-10-karmic/
