Video_ts to mpeg

I have a dvd folder on my harddrive (VIDEO_TS) and I want each episode in a individual file. I have tried all sorts of applications like dvd::rip, acidrip, k9copy (completely wrong app), handbreak. But, I can't find one that reads the dvd and encodes it to separate files.

BTW this isn't a movie dvd its a tv show.

Avidemux? Import the videofile and cut it in pieces.

Avidemux kinda worked but it got the audio out of sync from just a video copy and audio copy. Instead, Im just going to suck it up and try to mencoder my way out of this >.>
