Hello.
A friend wants to sell me his '1050*5040px vertical 'almost gapless' monitors set', as it was a prototype, and the screen and components are sticked in a fibreglass frame, it's almost "undisassemblable". So the price is very friendly .

However, he lives far away and I don't want to buy it if Ubuntu and the applications that I use (Netbeans, Firefox, Aisleriot (i'm joking hehehe), Nautilus, Thunderbirth, Blender, etc.) doesn't support such resolution.

He uses Windows and he said me that it behave like a single 1050*5040px monitor with all windowed applications except some games. Anyway, I wonder if Ubuntu's behaviour will be the same.

He will also sell me his nvidia non-sli video cards in order to be able to use the monitors, I know the nvidia driver for linux does support 3 horizontal monitor, so i think it will also support them vertically.

My question is if Gnome and the Programs will behave as expected.

Thank you and sorry my english.
