hi,
what is the keyboard shortcut for force quit command?
It is a good viewpoint to see the world as a dream. When you have something like a nightmare, you will wake up and tell yourself that it was only a dream...
I don't know if there's a standard command,
However if you go system -> preferences -> keyboard shortcuts you can add a command and a shortcut.
I do not know off the top of my head what the shortcut is at the moment, but go to System, Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts and see if it is listed there. You can also define your own shortcuts, just search through the dialog box for the action you want and create a shortcut for it by clicking the action you want and and then press the key combination you want to use for that action.
grobar87, you might be looking for the command xkill, read the man page and see if it will do what you want. It can kill a locked up app, if that is what you want.
Probably better to find out why the app is locking up and correct but you know what you want to do better than I do.
Instead of a keyboard short cut, you may wish to consider the utility that you can add to a panel:-
Right click top panel
Click "Add to Panel"
Scroll down to "Force Quit"
Click to add to panel.
Best wishes
what is the command to run force quit app? then someone can create a force quit shortcut.
