I don't get what all the fuzz is about. google.com loads instantly here, as it has always done. same with the results. it look a liiiiitle different, but even not all that much.

if that's too much clutter for you, I guess you're ripping your hairs out everywhere else on the web...

I don't like the new appearance of google search. I really don't. However, it works just as well as it ever has so I don't care too much. I am wondering if the OP has an ulterior motive also. He says this other browser has a simpler interface and is therefore a good replacement for Google, but what has always made Google great is not the simplicity of it's interface but the complexity of it's engine/algorithms.

I don't even notice the change... they even offer me vim-like keystrokes

Love it... And i don't really care much, use chrome for surfing, you won't feel it.
