Whats the difference between Ubuntu 10.04 CD or DVD

I am wondering what is the difference between the DVD 10.04 and the CD 10.04. The on;ly difference that i know of is that the file size for the CD is 698MB while the DVD size is 4.1GB, both of them are 64-Bit. Is there more dirvers installed on the DVD more apps what?

I think if you have a older computer that only has a cd drive and not a DVD drive. Then that's why you have 2 different versions.

Given the different sizes, I image the DVD has more packages included for the install processes. I just installed 10.04 from a cd, and it downloaded a lot of packages during the install.

The default installations themselves, whether installed from CD or DVD, are identical. The difference is the included software you can access offline post-install. The DVD is useful if you install on a machine without an active (or a very slow) internet connection.

From what I understand it has all the language packages, along with extra drivers.

DVD has all of the language packs.

According to Ubuntu.com (direct link to official mirror list and explanation)

Don't be confused, even though DVDs can hold far more data than the typical Ubuntu CD, the main benefit of the DVD downloads is to get access to all of the available language packs.
