Thumbs down [solved] I lost KDE4, how to get it back?

    Hi all,

Today i was working on my desktop which is normal, however my little girl came in to play in the room and pushed the "turn on/off computer" button. This causes to shutdown my computer. After that i booted up again and then it's happened. No KDE interface/desktop.

I do get a very basic GNOME desktop instead with the programs of KDE. I'd like to restore it but i do not know how. I already have tried to reinstall it using the command:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install kde-desktop
This did not work as the command-line said: cannot find kde-desktop.

    Can someone help please?

    Thanks

    DC80

Edit: It is solved. The only thing i had to do is select the KDE session in the login screen. I do not know what happened nor i understand why it did that.

Yes it did work and it is installing now. I hope this works, i will let you know .

[edit]: Sorry, this didn't work. KDE-full was succesfully installed though.

I also remember a error i encounter when i booted up. I do not know the exact error but it had to do with fast user switching applet.

    Thanks.
