    Splash screen error after installing nvidia drivers?

    I do not understand at all, Before I installed them the splash screen was beautiful not its ugly and glitchy low resolution driver pack said it was tested and approved what is wrong?

    Yep I get the same low res splash start up and shut down UBUNTU screens using the Nvidia 8600M GS driver on my HP 9500 Pavilion.

    If you search it's an issue with the drive. Once at the login screen the drive works fine. It is only cosmetic from what I have read but the driver and the 3d effects work fine once at the login screen.

    I found this web page that describes it. But not sure if it's been fixed yet. If you fixed it please reply.

    So basicly we just have to wait and hope that in nvidias next drivers they will support plymouth is they anyway to shut off the splash screen to avoid such uglyness?
