Scott
emoguitarist06, you're the man! I followed your instructions and made my wifi working now on Asus 1201N and Ubuntu 10.04:

Thank you! You saved my day (night, actually).
For your information - 10.10 runs this WiFi out of the box. Absolutely no problems.
Many thanks Rubsdecvik for your May 4th, 2010 12:26 PM post. I was asked by a friend to wipe W7 from his Asus EEE 1001P netbook. He didn't even want dual-boot. Needless to say, after installing Ubuntu 10.04 Nebook remix, I had no wireless. I'm not very Linux savy, so I was panicking. Your post saved me.
Anyone have troubles with the 2.6.32-25 kernel update? I had been working fine with 10.04 for a long time. Just updated it and now no networking works, wireless or wired.
I did test both in Win7 and they work.
I'll tinker after I grab dinner... But glad I didn't ship this to my sister. She'd not know what to do at all...
If you install a new kernel you need to repeat installing realteks driver. Follow the steps emoguitarist06 wrote in post#6.
Load the driver, read the readme, compile/install/reboot.
