Angry 10.04 Didn't Detect my Wireless Network

I'm a common user of Ubuntu, not a geek, I've been using Ubuntu since 2008 and I didn't face any problem then. Also every new release of Ubuntu I would always download and use. This year too I downloaded the 10.04 LTS desktop edition and installed inside windows 7. I have a problem that the Ubuntu didn't see my wireless network using iBall Baton. It never happened before.

My question is how can I fix this and where? I'm using Lenovo G430 Laptop.

The thing is that in my Friend's Laptop using Acer the Wireless Network show up nicely and can be connected easily.

    Can any one please help.

you might search "wireless" into synaptic

have you the needed packages installed for your chipset?

look at : system admin hardware driver

From the network Icon on the top right it says Device is ready for both Wired and Wireless. The only problem is It didn't see the wireless that is available. And I didn't hide my wireless network...

Anyway I'll try again and let you know
