    [SOLVED] Nautalus in 10.04

hey all, i am *loving* the new release. i got it all set up on my laptop to pretty much *just* the way i like!

however, i have one small problem:

Nautalus's new navigation. I remember in previous releases where you used to be able to click the address bar and 8type* the location you wanted to go to.

how come i cant do this? how do i put it back!?

Ctrl-L will bring up the old style location bar and it reverts when you hit return. Also found in the "Go" menu as "Location..."

If you'd rather have the text based address bar permanently, you can make that happen by running gconf-editor and going to: apps -> nautilus -> preferences -> always_use_location_entry, and setting the key to true.

    thanks to both of you!

WorMzy, this is exactly what i wanted.

I <3 the way vista / 7 do breadcrumb navigation that can also be quickly edited with the keyboard.

    thanks to both of you!
