Games on different resolution dual monitors

ok i have two moniter on my nvidia 9600 gt vid card

monitor to left is 1280x1024 monitor on right (primary) is 1024x768
but when i play a game, or even try to move my cairo-dock the OS thinks as both screens as one large resolution....

cairo dock moves in middle of both monitor and since they have diff resolutions i cant see it

    now heres weird part

monitor to right is primary but
-everything pops on on left monitor
-games pop into right monitor corner ? like wth
    - and cairo dock wont go to right (primary) monitor only middle of both or anywhere on left monitor

if i confesses you plz tell me, i know its hard to explain its just very very weird

    as i said before
-cario dock only goes in middle or left moniter wont go to right where i want it
-games go into primary screen but full screen wont work if fullscreen it goes into bottom right corner
-OS see its as one whole resolution not separate

p.s i have nvidia 9600 gt vid card
    latest hardware and drivers
set to twin view in settings

    so what can i do?

Not sure here, but I would expect there to be option in cairo dock to properly position in it. Perhaps the problem is related to your last point though, ie it is on the right monitor but outside the visible area? Can you try making it HUGE and see if it does show up, just way too low? Or line up your monitors differently so the bottoms are aligned.

As for windows poping up on the wrong one; try moving your panels. Right click them, properties, unselect "expand", drag them to the correct monitor, and expand again (assuming you are using gnome).

-games go into primary screen but full screen wont work if fullscreen it goes into bottom right corner
? works fine here on dual monitor (different size) on nvidia. Can you post a screenshot perhaps?

-OS see its as one whole resolution not separate
Yep. Its annoying. Have a look here:

Havent come around trying that fix yet, but from what I posted there it does seem you can change this behavior with some xorg.conf tweaking.
