Installing BBC iPlayer Desktop on Karmic.

Hi,

Newish Noob - so please be gentle - using Ubuntu/Karmic/Gnome.

Firstly I've got BBC iPlayer working perfectly in Firefox.

I've been trying to work out how to install BBC iPlayer Desktop on Karmic. There is a mass of conflicting information and install guides, some say install Adobe Air 1.5 others say Air 2 Beta, some offer scripts that seem to want to install 64bit versions of some software, etc., etc.. Having just spend an hour searching and reading I am now totally confused. The BBC seem to even want to install the Linux version of iPlayer Desktop using Firefox which is not a way of installing software on Ubuntu I've seen before.

Would it be possible for someone to give me a step-by-step guide to installing BBC iPlayer Desktop on Karmic please? I would really appreciate it.

I feel like an idiot. Just clicking install on that page installed BBC iPlayer Desktop with no problems. I suppose I just read so many pages about how to install it that I created a mountain out of a mole hill and ended up ignoring the simple option.
