    Thumbs down Intergrated Intel Card and Nvidia PCI Card

    Hello

    I am trying to do a multimonitor setup on one of my systems (Ubuntu Karmic 9.10). I have an intel onboard graphics card:
    Code:
    00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01)
    and a PCI Nvidia Geforce MX4000.

    I have managed to have the intel working without the PCI card in and I have manged to get the Nvidia to work while it is in too.

    I was having some problems/errors until I changed my default video card to the onboard in the bios. The errors would say:

    Code:
    failed to open drm device for:  no such file or dir
    failed to become drm master
    no valid FB address in PCI config space
    But. Like I said I fixed that by changing the bios setting.

    And you are 100% sure that you MB/BIOS supports running both video outputs simultaneously?

    I am 100 Percent that this is suppose to work. I had it working just fine in Windows XP.

    Please help. What do you need?
