Slightly OT .. but worth a mention.

The series "Criminal Minds" on US television occasionally will slap you in the face with SPOKEN references to their LINUX BASED computer system(s) as well as showing the multi screened displays and just how fast it is!! (poetic license taken, of course!)

(and they really ARE running Linux!)

Movies always show computers making all sorts of odd noises. I think it fills the gap in the viewers' minds, to stop them from thinking.

I also found Novell's American Chopper-ripoff Linux ads quite amusing, although I can't just now seem to find them from Novell's media site.

What comes to not-funny but otherwise great ads I think the IBM one from the fist post is great one,a s are Red Hat's "Truth Happens" and the other ones of the same series.
