    Lampp Start---32 bit compatibility library

    Lampp Start---32 bit compatibility library
My Processor is x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 5 Genuine Intel ~2992 Mhz

Below is the message I received after trying to do the Lampp start in ubuntu 9.10.

    sudo /Downloads/lampp/lampp start
XAMPP is currently only availably as 32 bit application. Please use a 32 bit compatibility library for your system.

If someone could assist me that would be great.

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
ia32-libs is the 32-bit compatibility library.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

And seeing the terror on the faces of the people, QIII did speak to them, saying "Fear not the Terminal, for it is a road both swift and secure to the Great Mysteries of Linux without passing through the dangers of The Land of Ten Thousand Competing Desktop Environments."
