    Adjust Scroll Wheel Rate

I've searched the web & these forums, but can't find a suggestion for this.

I would like to adjust rate at which my mouse scroll wheel advances the screen. Not just in web browsers, but in general. It takes "too big" of a step and I would like it to be smoother/smaller in its incrementation.

Anyone know how to do this?

    Re: Adjust Scroll Wheel Rate

Not sure about system wide settings, but for firefox there is SmoothWheel. I'll post back if I find out anything more.

Edit: I even checked in ubuntu-tweak, and there are no settings for it. And after googling, I see no one has had any success. However, one person fixed it by simply unplugging and replugging the mouse. Worth a try.

I have a wireless mouse and was having an issue with the scroll wheel, I just unhooked the wireless receiver and hooked it back in and it scrolls fine now. Weird how that stuff works.

There is a similar Chrome extension called SmoothScroll.
