Starling Battery Not Doing as Well as it Used to be...

I used to get like 3 and a half to 4 hours with wifi, and brightness at about 70%. Now, with wifi and brightness at 70%, I get about half an hour to one hour. I have done many updates since this started to happen, but I've got no idea after which update this started to happen.

I've noticed the same issue, mine isn't that bad. I can still probably get a solid 2 - 2.5 hours. However, it's much less than when I started out when I got 3.5 - 4 hours (I've only had the Starling since October). I've been very careful about the way I charge/drain it as well. I never drain it all the way and I don't leave it plugged in all the time either. Maybe it's just something to do with the Ubuntu release and 10.04 will be much easier on battery life...either way I can't afford to buy a new battery (they're quite pricey) so I'll just have to figure out ways to maximize the life.

If you habitually run it down to zero, it will decrease the life of your battery.

I NEVER run it down past like 20%, so that's definitely not the problem.
